The re-entry program is designed in collaboration with the Nigerian Ministry of Interior, and is going to be compulsory for inmatespreparing for release in less than 18 months.They will attend the program which serves as a re-orientation for them to be able to fit into society.
The program will render technical assistance and provide resources to reconnect men and women returning home from prison with their families and neighborhoods through employment, education, and health and social services. The program will offer guidance on how to reduce barriers facing the formerly incarcerated, including access to counseling and job training. Through the process of this program, clients will deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

Project Requirements

To ensure the success of the Re-Entry Program, NLF will need to secure the funding for the specialists, printing of educational materials, preparation of curriculum, securing of appropriate space (outside of or within the prison), liability insurance for specialists working within the prison, cooperation of prison officials, and various consumable supplies such as paper, writing utensils, etc.
