The New Leaf Foundation outreach ministry focuses on the teachings of Bible to appeal to the prisoner’s sense of judgment regarding what is wrong and right. We demonstrate to the inmates that there is room for mercy and grace and that we love them just as God does, regardless of their past actions.

The Holy Bible teaches us in the Book of Hebrews 13:3 to “Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated as you are also in the body.”

Considering this teaching, the NLF’s prison outreach program shows convicts that despite their history, they matter and have a shoulder to lean on. We are dedicated to helping prisoners build better lives for themselves by understanding God’s principles and teachings. The program spans across prisons in parts of Nigeria and offers the inmates with clothing, food, religious journals, and other needs. Furthermore, to ease their pain, we distribute spiritually nourishing material such as bible studies, bibles, handouts, tracts and motivational books.
